Rawalakot Rawalakot, the district headquarter, is situated in the heart of the district Poonch. The altitude of this beautiful saucer-shaped valley is 1615 meters. Situated at a distance of 76 kilometers from Kohala, it is also connected with Rawalpindi / Islamabad via Azad Pattan and Dholkot and with Muzaffarabad via Kohala by black-top roads. During summer, the place becomes full of green grass and beautiful flowers including many varieties of roses. There are two tourist rest houses and a circuit house in the area providing comfortable accommodation to the visitors. Paniolla Paniolla is situated 12 kilometers from Rawalakot towards Kohala and 54 kilometers from Kohala. Due to its calm and charming characteristics, the Tourism Department has constructed a rest house for the tourists.
Chottagala/ Banjosa It is situated at a distance of about 20 kilometers from Rawalkote at an elevation of 1981 meters. It is a very attractive site full of scenic beauty. A PWD rest house and a tourist hut is available for the tourists. A small lake with boating facilities provides additional attraction to the tourists.		Banjosa
Koyian	Koyian From Rawalakote, 17 kilometers ahead this place is surrounded by dense forests which makes it charming and pleasant. A tourist rest house has been constructed by the Tourism Department for the tourists.
Ghorimar From Rawalakote, 30 kilometers via Khaigala an ummetalled road leads to this area. Keeping in view the embracing climate and natural beauty, AJK Tourism Department has provided a rest house for accommodation.
